About DNS Resolver Tool

The DNS Resolver allows querying common record types for any domain name, including A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, SOA, and TXT. It is used to troubleshoot routing problems, verify email configuration, and inspect authoritative name servers, presenting answers in a clear, structured format.

Each record type provides different insights: A/AAAA map a hostname to IPv4/IPv6 addresses; CNAME shows canonical aliases; MX lists mail exchangers with their preferences; NS identifies the delegated name servers; SOA exposes zone metadata such as serial and timers; TXT contains arbitrary text including SPF or DMARC policies.

To use the tool, enter a hostname, select a record type, and click Resolve. Results include the record type, TTL when available, a status message if no answers are returned, and record-specific fields (for example, addresses for A/AAAA, alias targets for CNAME, preference and exchange for MX, hosts for NS, SOA parameters, and text for TXT).
